Just before kick off!
WorksWonders is all about trying to inspire people to take another look at obtaining the work/life balance that works for them and to achieve their dreams.

This weekend it was the other way around, we were totally inspired by the women we met at our Kickstart your Day workshop in Rotorua hosted by the Lakes Branch Child Cancer Foundation.

Despite many of the women having huge things going on in their lives at home they took the day out to come and join us and take part in our two workshops.

Clothes swap gems.

During the morning session (Kickstart your Future) we were blown away by some of the goal setting that was going on.  These women are tough, they are survivors, nurturers and the glue that holds their families together.  They just don’t usually have time to think about themselves and what they want to focus on and achieve.

They will achieve their dreams because they have all taken the first steps of working out what it is they want to do and how they are going to do it.

Style guru - Wendy Bakewell.
In the afternoon we let our hair down and got stuck into our Kickstart your Style session.  Everyone had great fun learning about makeup from Wendy Bakewell, finding out about capsule wardrobes and scarf tying and then taking part in a clothes swap.

Massage number 11...
The highlight for many in the afternoon was a chair massage by Gillian Fry.

a clothes swap dress with Wendy.

Shayle had a makeup makeover thanks to Diane from Avon, and her own fashion consultant during the clothes swap.

The power behind the throne.
A good time was had by all including the support crew who travelled with us for moral support.  Thanks guys we couldn’t do it without you!
